Creek on Old Comte Farm in Perryville, MO
This place brings back a lot of memories of the days when many of the aunts, uncles and cousins gathered at grandpa's on Sundays when we were growing up.
(Grandma was already with God then.)
Eating at a long table with benches, running in the fields, climbing apple trees toting the salt shaker, making houses in the corn stacks, playing and jumping in the barn and swimming, wading or walking along the creek, playing by the pond, walking down the road to the mailbox and watching the older folks butcher (still can see them stiring the blood for blood sausage!) What wonderful fun! Many years have passed since then and cousins are still loved like brothers and sisters! Our parents gave us a great life loaded with memories! All of our Aunts, Uncles and several cousins have went to be with God and those of us who are left are now all getting on in years but we still have all of these memories to warm our hearts!!
Families are 'Wonderful Blankets of Love'!!
